¿Qué dices?

A podcast for young adult Latinxs to express their points of view on a certain news topic. The two co-hosts, Jesús and Marcela, will talk about a news topic and will sit down and interview a college/young adult Latino who have experience within the topic or have done some reporting about it. This gives the listener a more candid understanding of a news story, something that was left out of what’s already been reported.

According to recent studies, people of color are underrepresented within the field, which may affect the way the general public sees the art displayed in museums.

PhD economics candidate Karim Fajury is in his first year and a half of his degree. Having already studied economics as an undergrad and as a masters student at Bogotá, Colombia, he wanted to stay in a similar setting: a big city. So, he chose to come to USC because of the setting Los Angeles offers. Through his time in L.A., he’s experienced stereotypes that at this point he finds them funny yet uncomfortable, he says.

Elizabeth Mayoral is a USC Annenberg journalist who’s been visiting the Tijuana-U.S. border for the last two weeks, collecting stories of Central American migrants and their children. These families are still living in refuges while going through the process of seeking asylum, but live with fear of being separated by immigration agents, according to Mayoral.
